Elicia's Dad, Neil, married a wonderful woman and mother, Johanna, on December 28, 2007 in Chicago.  Kyle gained not only a new grandma (Nana Jo), but a new Aunt Katie and new great-grandparents as well!  Elicia's two sisters were also in attendance, and the wedding was presided over by a close relative of Elicia's deceased mom.

It was a beautiful, intimate ceremony, and a great way to spend time with Elicia's far-flung family.  Kyle even got to swim in a pool for the very first time, and experience sub-freezing, windy mid-western weather firsthand (see 6 month page for pics).

Jo's daughter, Katie, brought a friend to sing a duet with at the wedding.  After the ceremony at Lloyd's church we went to a fantastic Italian restaurant for a celebration dinner.  (Ryan stayed behind to tuck Kyle into bed.)

The rest of the weekend was for hanging out and exploring Chicago, but we all got together again Sunday morning before checkout for a family brunch (and more photo-ops!).  It was great to get to spend even this little time with my family and get to know my new step-family!
